Fully articulated and featuring fascinating detail, each model tells a story about the biome, or ecosystem, that the insects inhabit. Separate building instructions for each model allow for solo or multi-person construction.
 
About the playlist
We asked award-winning foley artist Sanaa Kelley to help us put together a playlist inspired by the three extraordinary insects in the new set. With a wealth of experience creating sound effects using everyday items, Sanaa has recreated the specific sounds each insect makes in nature using the iconic LEGO® brick.
 
Hercules beetle
He builds the world's longest beetle, which features attachable wings and the characteristic horns of the male of this species.
 
Blue Morpho Butterfly
It reproduces the blue and white tones of the wings of this butterfly that rests next to a bee and a flower.
 
Chinese mantis
This female praying mantis shares her buildable habitat with a friendly seven-spot ladybird.
